The National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally announced the re-examination date of the NEET-UG on June 21, 2026 (Sunday).
The 2026 National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-Undergraduate (UG) was held on May 3, 2026, that was cancelled on May 12 by the NTA due to an alleged leak.
The announcement came hours ago (May 15) on ‘X’, where the agency also stated that the re-examination has been scheduled after Centre government’s approval.
The post continued to request NEET aspirants and their parents to follow the official channel of NTA for genuine information, stating, “Candidates and parents are requested to rely only on the official channels of NTA.”
The decision brings relief to over 22 lakh NEET aspirants, who were distressed after the exam’s cancellation following the alleged leak of the actual question paper, brought to light by a Sikar-based teacher.
The NEET-UG exam is conducted annually by the NTA for undergraduate medical admissions in both government and private colleges countrywide.
