
Recently the Central Bureau of Investigation has named PV Kulkarni, a chemistry lecturer known for Association with the Examination process on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA), as the alleged Master mind behind NEET-UG 2026 Paper leak.
What probe says
According to the Agency, Kulkarni had Authorised access to the question papers in his official capacity. Last week in April 2026, Accused allegedly collaborated with co- accused Manisha Waghmare was also arrested on May 14 on grounds of organizing clandestine coaching sessions at his Pune residence.
During these sessions, Kulkarni purportedly dictated the examination questions along with their options and correct answers, which students wrote down into notebooks. The Agency has confirmed that the handwritten content tallies precisely with the NEET-UG 2026 Question paper.
Probe still on
The investigation has begun to reveal the full chain of the leak. Authorities say now they have identified not just where the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak originated,but also fixers acting as middlemen who are recruiting students willing to pay several lakhs of rupees for access to secret coaching classes where the exam questions were practiced and discussed in advance.
