CCTV Footage Emerges in Faridabad Gang-Rape Case; Two Arrested

A disturbing incident of gang-rape in Faridabad has come to light with the emergence of CCTV footage showing the van used in the crime. The 28-year-old victim was assaulted for over two hours before being thrown from the moving vehicle on Tuesday morning.

The Incident

The horrific assault occurred during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, when the woman was waiting for a vehicle to travel home. Two men approached her and lured her into a van, promising to drop her at her residence. Instead, she was subjected to rape for approximately two-and-a-half hours.

Around 3 am, the woman was thrown out of the moving van, sustaining severe facial injuries and bleeding. Her family rushed her to the hospital, where she received 10 to 12 stitches to her face. While her physical condition remains stable, she is reportedly in a state of shock. Her formal statement is yet to be recorded by authorities.

Evidence and Investigation

The CCTV footage released to the media shows the van moving along the road with several other vehicles parked in the vicinity. This visual evidence has become crucial to the investigation. Authorities have recovered the van visible in the footage, and both accused have been arrested.

Background

According to the victim’s sister, the woman had called her the evening before the incident, around 8:30 pm, mentioning that she had argued with her mother and was heading to a friend’s house. She said she would return home within three hours. The victim is a married woman with three children and currently lives separately from her husband due to domestic disputes.

Medical Status

The woman is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment for her injuries. While her condition is described as stable, medical professionals note that she remains in a state of psychological trauma following the assault.

Authorities continue their investigation into the case.
