In a shocking twist to the recent violence in Patna’s prominent educational hub, popular YouTuber and educator Faisal Khan, widely known as “Khan Sir,” has been booked for attempted murder. What initially appeared to be a targeted attack on his coaching institute by rivals has now turned into a serious legal battle for the celebrated teacher.

The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against him, and raids are currently underway to trace him, making his arrest highly possible.
Here is a comprehensive breakdown of how the chaotic night unfolded and how the investigation turned against the educator.

The Incriminating Order: “I’ll Handle What Happens”

The case took a dramatic turn after police arrested two of Khan Sir’s private security guards, identified as Pradeep Kumar and Talebar Singh. During police questioning, the guards made a stunning confession. They told investigators that they fired their weapons into the air strictly on the orders of Khan Sir.

According to the official police complaint, Khan Sir allegedly instructed his armed guards by saying:

“What are you looking at, fire at the crowd immediately, I will handle whatever happens”.

Based on these specific statements and video evidence, the Patna police took strict action. They booked Faisal Khan and unidentified associates under Section 109 (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with various sections of the Arms Act, for creating public panic and endangering lives.

How the Violence Unfolded

To understand the controversy, we must look back at the night of June 2. At around 10:10 PM, a mob of 15 to 20 people gathered outside Khan Global Studies (KGS) in the Musallahpur Haat area of Patna. The attackers tore down banners, threw stones, and brutally assaulted a KGS security guard named Chun Chun, leaving him with severe head injuries.

Initially, Khan Sir claimed that “anti-social elements” and business rivals attacked the center and fired eight to ten rounds of gunfire. He immediately filed a police complaint, which led to the swift arrest of three individuals. This included Raushan Anand, the director of a rival center known as Gyan Bindu Coaching Institute.

The Bitter Coaching Rivalry

The roots of this violent clash lie in a deep professional rivalry.

Khan Sir suggested that rival institutes were jealous of his low-fee teaching model and the massive success of his students in the recently declared Bihar Police constable recruitment exams.

The tension over these exam results reportedly fueled the late-night mob attack on his institute.

The Viral Video That Changed Everything

In the immediate aftermath of the clash, police stated there was no physical evidence of gunfire from the attackers.
However, a viral video soon surfaced on social media that completely flipped the direction of the investigation.

The footage clearly showed two men firing shots into the air.

Upon careful verification, the police discovered that the men firing the weapons were not the rival attackers, but Khan Sir’s own private security guards. The police immediately detained the guards and seized their licensed rifles for forensic testing.

Khan Sir’s Defense: “Police Cannot Fly to the Spot”

Facing highly serious allegations, Khan Sir has strongly defended his actions, stating that the firing was strictly done in self-defense to save his staff.

He explained that a violent mob was brutally beating his guard, and immediate action was necessary because law enforcement was not immediately available.

“There was a scuffle going on. I knew the police would take time to reach. Police cannot fly to the spot,” he argued.

Defending his security personnel’s actions, he asked, “Why do we keep guards? So they can protect people when needed. Did the guards fire at anyone?”.

Echoes of the Gunfire: An Empire on the Brink

The situation remains incredibly tense in Patna. Following the news of the FIR against Khan Sir, hundreds of supportive students gathered outside his coaching center to protest, forcing the police to deploy additional security forces to maintain peace.

As the police continue their raids to trace Khan Sir, this violent incident highlights the dark and highly competitive side of India’s multi-million-dollar coaching industry. The coming days will determine whether the beloved educator can legally prove that the firing was purely an act of self-defense, or if his alleged “shooting orders” will lead to a lengthy criminal trial.
